My bet is that your assumption he was just avoiding camp does not hold up and probably has nothing to do with the reality.

Of course he knows he's going to camp in 2019.

Personally I DON'T assume that avoiding camp has anything to do with any of this.

Unless one of us can actually read minds, there is no real way to say which is true.
