Robinson...like Pettis...
My track record stinks.
You have no issue with a pre-existing injury from college "flaring up?" What, a few weeks rest and it goes away? He had the entire offseason to rest it up and two weeks into camp it's an issue.
And, I laugh everytime I read Everett "flashed".
I find zero plays where he flashed. People talk about the Giants game, one of the worst teams in the league, where he caught a pass with no one on him. That is not a flash.
I saw the failure of Robinson in his rookie camp where he couldn't beat out Davin Joseph...I saw the flaw of Pettis in his rookie camp when he caught no passes...I see the failure of Everett when he has done nothing and can't beat out Higbee who is an average chain mover at best. But Higbee was a fourth rounder, not a second rounder.
We hope and wish success on a player when the writing is staring at us right in our face. I look at what is staring at us right in our face...and I don't deny it. That's where I'm different and it makes people mad because it dashes the hope they have for a player to succeed.
I've had my share of being wrong, but not on this stuff. I was a Jeff Fisher enthusiast at one time and that is enough embarrassment for a lifetime.
Mad? Nah. Just a different opinion. You've already tried and convicted Everett as a failed pick, even last year in his rookie year. That's fine, you're entitled to your opinion. Me, I think it's still premature to come to the conclusion so decidedly.
You may ultimately be right. You may ultimately be wrong. Of course I WANT you to be wrong, not because of you in any way, as it would mean the Rams have a player on their hands. That's all I care about.
By the way, I was stoked when they hired Fisher too, so we share that same embarrassment!
