It's 2018 not 1950. Times have changed. Players have changed. The NFL has changed and most importantly the Salaries have changed BIG TIME. It makes no sense to take a chance on getting a player hurt in a meaningless game. They take enough chances during practices and scrimmages. It doesn't matter what "players of yesteryear" think. Eventually the NFL will get rid of these games or maybe cut them down to one or two.

I would be ok with that and maybe have a few scrimmages with other teams before the season every year instead.
