Looking at the competition: AZ's Defense

Found this on a site, but can't post the link (bec ZN says rules don't permit):

In what world does Arizona have a porous pass defense? Do you actually research before writing these predictions?

Arizona has a good pass defense. Last year they ranked 4th overall defensively via DVOA, #1 vs run/DVOA and #11 vs pass/DVOA. The pass defense should be even better this season greatly helped out by a much improved pass rush w/ Arizona getting multiple players back healthy, particularly double digit sack producer/pass rusher DE Markus Golden and switching to a simpler more aggressive 1 gap scheme that fits its personnel much better.

At Linebacker WLB Deone Bucannon is one of the best pass covering LB’s in the NFL healthy and he is back to full health now that his surgically repaired ankle is healed, SLB Hasson Reddick excels both rushing the passer and in pass coverage as an ex DB and looks really good in year two have really grown from YR1 to YR2. The back-end possess arguably the best shut down CB in the NFL in #1 CB Patrick Peterson who will be put in a position to make a lot more plays on the ball this season playing off the ball much more, #2 CB Jamar Taylor looks very good and has really stepped up, back-up #2 and slot CB 6"1 Bene Benwikere has looked tremendous this pre-season and that is not over exaggeration, he’s looked very good. Rookie 6"1 CB Christian Campbell looks good as well for a first year CB and covers very well, given Wilks past with DB’s hopefully AZ has found a late round gem in Campbell. The Cardinals safety corps is one of the deepest units in the league and really makes the secondary. 2nd year 1st team All-Pro/Pro-Bowler 5"10-205pd SS slash Slot CB Budda Baker ranked 18th overall as a rookie w/ an 84.5 overall grade, 3rd versus the run with a 91.4 overall grade via PFF and has really developed over the last year upping his game as a sizable upgrade over the injury prone Tyrann Mathieu now that he’s playing on two bad knee/rebuilt knees. Baker is going to be a special player as one of the best young up n coming safety’s in the NFL today. Behind Baker is former Pro-Bowler veteran Safety 5"11/209pd Antoine Bethea who via Pro Football Focus ranked 12th overall at safety last season w/ an 86.7 overall grade w/ 5INTs-10PD’s.

Arizona added another very talented young safety to the room in young (26) 6"1-210pd FS Tre Boston who was one of the best pass covering safety’s in the NFL last season ranking 9th overall among safetys with an 87.9 overall grade with 5INTs-9PDs to go w/ 80 tackles. Up front Arizona also has a very very good pass rush stacked with pass rushers up front who excel at getting after the QB making the secondary’s job that much easier. The pass-defense and defense as a whole will be very, very good this season and should be even better this season compared to what they were last
