Everyone has their role. He is a top 5 corner--rare talent. What rookie makes the pro bowl at corner? And, his talent is as much mental, as it is physical. Additionally, emotional intelligence certainly mixes in with the locker room rep, and relationships, etc.

If he plays his role well the first 8-10 games as advertised, and the Rams are 6-2 or better, he will get his nice contract extension. BUt, honestly, I can't believe that he will still be on the roster in 2021 if he signs a long term contract. A basket case is a short answer to why he won't last....yes, he is smart, but handling emotions is more important. He can barely contain his emotions in a simple pre-season-atmosphere interview. I know he isn't L. Phillips, but something is seriously wrong with him.

The most arrogant players contain themselves as rookies. So, it only took him 2 years pasto be traded.....actually he isn't a jag lke Faulk was with the Colts....but Faulk, also very intelligent, was able to mostly contain his emtions.

Yes people change, but I don't see Marcus has changed one iota. I see the same exact 'attitude' and weird look on his face and the semi-stilted conversations--he creates emotions where they don't exist. This is childish. So, I hope the Rams support him....lets see when they lose.

If the Rams win the super bowl,and they trade him, he would certainly have been worth a 2nd rounder for one year. Without him, and without a great edge rusher we can't go to the super bowl....with him, we can. There is a reason all the other GMs said 'no'.

Go Rams and win it all....remember L Little had a few problems,and he worked it out...but, he was humble already.
