Yes, but are these really judgement calls on these types of plays? I mean...when the ball comes flying out of the scrum like a pop-gun, everybody knows what caused that to occur (i.e. lowered crown of helmet making contact with ball).
Maybe the argument against making the call is that the helmet is making contact with the ball
instead of the player? But even in that case, the ball carrier is still getting hit with that tackle.
