I agree. Preseason games were NEEDED maybe 30 years ago.

There was a time when players had ZERO contact with the team till camps started. THEN, the games were vital to get up to speed. It's also why they played SIX preseason games back in the day.These days, there are all sorts of work outs and scrimmages before and during camp. Preseason games these days are pretty much just a cash grab by the NFL.

  Even when teams do play stars multiple quarters in preseason...

  Mixed feelings about it. But starters need to play some in the preseason.
