I thought he might play the rest of the way after B. Allen's INT in the 4th Qtr. McVay must have wanted Allen to shake the pick off and play another series. He;s got the size and the smarts to play the position but its just a numbers game right now. Mannion and Allen both need reps and as shaky as they are both playing, they need all the reps they can get. Like you, I'd like to see what this kid can do.

If he won't play in even in preseason what's the point of keeping him on the roster? Doesn't seem fair, or does SM have a plan for him?
Might give him some reps in the 4th game, but right now, Mannion & Allen need all the work they can get. Perez is not making the team, the best they he can hope for is practice squad. You need 4 QB's for Training Camp, the kid has resolve might get a few reps, but the goal is to ensure that either Mannion or Allen if they are going to be the backup QB to give them all the reps they can get.
