I am not sure they necessarily expected him to start right away. The LT from the 49ers, Brown, has the inside track to start. They were using Wynn at both tackles spots and LG. It was TBD where he ended up and when. Tough loss for them though. At minimum he was going to be their 6th man on the OL out of the gate.
