Let them sort it all out in the year off in 2021 when they negotiate the new CBA.
Yes, I think the 2021 football season will not happen...only brutal/violent negotiations.

I wonder of the would try a new crazy way of payment structure!!???!!
...Perhaps, a minimum salary pool of money is set for a player based on years played...but then the money is allocated to players that reach certain goals..
stat leaders for the team, stat leaders for the NFL...etc and players get more money based on the their performances. That way players could get crazy money if they play crazy good!! Base salaries are set based on starting and number of years - vets get higher base salary...but the real money comes in incentives based on performance where there's a pool of money that could be disbursed to players as they reach performance incentives. It essentially pays a player for what he DID that year...good year gets lotsa money...bad year...gets less. I wonder if some sort of system like that would work?
Something completely new/different...a new way of compensation.
