He is the one who wrote the infamous "best HC candidate in the league and he's only 30" article the year before Sean got the gig. He knows him well, and his hype around Cooper Kupp being a fit for this offense was related to that connection. I believe this is just another extension of that, where the excitement at Rams' park is spilling over to him.
And I think it's possible that Cooks has finally found a place where he can settle in and end up in the elite WR conversations. He's that good a fit for Sean and this offense IMO.
