Talib, Peters, and Cooks are all upgrades, don’t you think?
Quinn, Ogletree, and Barwin were all cap and scheme decisions on the Rams part, not UFA’s.

Cooks is a must sign, IMO. Saffold, Suh, and Joyner might need to be sacrificed next offseason. But maybe we should give this FO and staff some credit for filling their respective spots with at least an adequate replacement. I mean, that’s what they’ve been doing so far, right?
Maybe our concerns of Ram inability to extend top end UFA’s are a bit misplaced, at least so far?
I would feel confident if they would sign Aaron Donald. I mean, at some point you have to settle down and work with the players you have. You can only stockpile so many draft picks. I would like to feel like the Rams were committed towards the future and building around the players that they have. The Rams have a lot of young talent, and it would be nice to see them keep the team together.
Cooks seems to be a “must sign”. Perfect for this O and has already cost a 1st. No brainer. Gonna happen.
Peters is another “must sign”. He’s the future in Wade’s secondary and has already cost a 2nd. Also gonna happen. Both Cooks and Peters extensions were baked into the cake before the trades were completed.
AD extension is a very, very strong “want”, but he’s a Ram for 3-4 more years, barring trade. So it’s not necessarily a ‘19 problem. I think this will sort itself out.
Saffold, Suh, and Joyner are all “wants”, but we may be fortunate to keep even one of them. Gotta trust Snead/McVay/Wade to find and coach up their replacements. Would save a TON of cap space, though.
I would NOT bet against that trio of S&M plus Wade.
