Going to disagree somewhat because regardless of how much it kills people to factor this in, you have to factor in the cost of an education. Now I realize that pales in comparison to the money that some people are lining their pockets with, however, most of the players do not make it to the NFL. If they channel it correctly go to class and network appropriately, it can set them up for life. Those Alumni that run companies would love to hire one of their own and say, this guy played Guard at A&M, so the opportunity is there if they can obtain their degree and even get the school to fund their graduate program as well.
Now I do believe those players in college should get paid, but until they figure out a way to do that, this is the system that they have and I still enjoy watching college football because I still believe because so few go onto the NFL, there are still some student athletes, excelling in the classroom and enjoying their experience that they will share with friends and colleagues for the rest of their lives.
