Seriously though in OTA's is where I believe a QB should be trying things, he might not try on game day. Fitting a ball into a tight window or a quick throw that might not be there, but gets batted down. IMO, Goff showcased his talents last season and I believe will be better in year 3. Curley did just focus on his play, but many have reported how much of a leader Goff has been leading to practice off the field with the receiver group. Agree with ZN on this, Curley is looking for a more consistent Goff and I believe we will see that on game day, where they play to the whittle blows.

Actually Curley never said he is not doing well. He said he IS doing well. I don't think we need the game day v. OTAs defense....Curley states that Goff IS doing well in OTAs. He just expected him to be even better. That's on Curley and his own expectations, that's not on Goff.

The team and Goff need to be better in tough games against opponents that have both a good offense and a top 10 defense.

On Goff's part that's also in comeback situations. Last year his %Pass Completed in Close Games stat was 51.9%, which ranked 26th. For a more focused view, there's also this stat: %Passes Completed, Late & Close. With that he was 45.3% which ranked 31st. To be fair that covers just 53 of his 477 passes but still.
