PFF is a different view. However, fortunately it's an angle...but not a direct line as to valuing a player.
I'll go a step further. I would say, of course this is my opinion, that maybe, maybe just a handful of those receivers would have made the Saints better in 2017 vs. Kamara. And frankly, I could go as far as saying as none of them. Kamara out of the backfield was the game changer for the Saints.
Kamara was just a rookie with only 120 carries. He only started 3 games and was the RB2.
Looking only at stats he doesn't belong in the same discussion as Gurley who pretty much had twice as much of everything - carries, yards, TDs - all if it.
So it kinda makes sense that in the WAR metric he's not gonna place that high.
Don't get me wrong, I love Kamara. He is a great RB, he is a game changer. I'd love to have him on my team.
But it's not much of a bad reflection on Kamara or the WAR metric for him not to be ranked high at this point.
