I know I don't really need to ask you'll probably all hate it, but I quite like the idea.
I'm actually against having a team over there for logistical and time zone considerations, I just don't think it's viable.
However, having a Super Bowl there is.
With a 2 week break after the Championship games time zones don't matter and there is plenty of time for teams to acclimatize.
Weather is less of a worry than New York was. Sure it's unlikely to be balmy weather in February in London, but it doesn't run the same risk of heavy snow as New York did.
The infrastructure is great and I don't even see the cost being much of a big deal.
With tickets already at over $1k face value, it's not an event that the 'common man' attends anymore.
I think London would crush it in the same way it did the Olympics, but I get it really messes with tradition.
On a side note it was funny to hear Shahid Khan who is trying to buy Wembley say he wants to have World Cup Finals there.
The World Cup is only played in Europe every 12 years and then it rotates countries within Europe.
The absolute earliest London could see a World Cup Final is in 2030. Even if it won that one it would be at least 40 years before it got it again.
I'm fine with it. And I'd try to go if conditions stabilize for me. It would make up for me missing my trip to Oxford last year, which is really a bummer.
