there were some Jets fans that were ok...but really preferred Darnold.

Now...I'm biased. I think Mayfield is way better than Darnold...the only thing Darnold has on Mayfield is height.

Fans ultimately rationalize a like for a player. For example, my buddy in Cleveland did not want Mayfield. But now that there are all these supportive reports from talking heads, players and rumor mill, he is "warming up" to it.

It will be interesting to see how these guys play out. Everyone thinks they will be sitting a year. I say most all will be on the field by game 8.
