Look. These analysts don't have access to the players, scouting reports, medicals, school grades, interviews, etc. They look at tape, but they don't have the time or the resources to look at all the tape of all the players at all the schools. And even if they look with a trained eye, each team looks for different things that they particularly want in a player to fit a role in their systems.
I was like "who?" when I heard the selection. But that's only because all I have to go on is what a few talking heads say and a few non-NFL employed draft guys say.
It was a little like last year. Who the heck is John Johnson III? Well, it turns out he is one heck of a Safety.
