I’m a big Mayfield fan, anyway. He's a playmaking machine that just finds a way to win games. Every QB has warts if one looks long and hard enough and it always comes down to a subjective opinion. Get back to me in 3 years as to which QB deserved to be #1 overall.
Ward was a mild surprise based upon conventional pundit wisdom, but so what? He was considered the best CB in a deep CB draft, right? So, hard to call that a poor move. Yeah, they could have picked other tremendous football players instead. But they only had one pick and they got a terrific player at an important position in today’s NFL.
The biggest Brown problem, IMO? Hue Jackson. He hasn’t demonstrated the ability to elevate his team’s results with his roster. McVay, in his 1st year right out of the gate has run rings around Hue Jackson. I’ll just leave it at that.
