Does he not count for up to three million in incentives which he can earn this year in addition to the 5 millioin guarantee already paid. He has value in a trade now that the contract was restructured. The aquiring team has a low cap cost, a low salary on a one year deal for a player with some unique skill sets who can return punts, kick offs and can contribute on offense. He is not a rookie and is ready to play immediatly. If the team is moving on from him because he had no value they would have cut him. He has some value and the restructed contract makes a team willing to bet on his potential more valuable. What would the Rams take will depend on how they value him.
