Les shares how stressed things can become when you see a player you want, and is still on the board 7 picks away. (Cooper Kupp)
Then reflects why they busted a move on LaMarcus Joyner, because there was rumors about another club taking him.
Right at the end, they ask Les about moving up to the 1st or 2nd.
He notes, as we all know, that getting there would reduce your draft to a one or two player draft. And footnotes it with a remark about players that can help your team at 8 lesser draft spots.
I do interpret this somewhat now
Trading around in the 6th wouldn't surprise me.
For me, I still some very high need for depth at safety. Could use another TE, and no end to the guys we could select and slide through at edge and lb.
I guess by the end of the 2nd round they might be looking at a player they think could be a roster changer
Only 3 spots make me think that. Center, Edge, LB That's pure need. At this point, I'd be bummed if they don't hold course through their 4th rounders.
Most of all, I think the Rams could select a number of guys at their current spots and get great snaps from them. Remember I don't need starters I need guys who can come in and rotate in that defense. Edge guys who can take a certain number of snaps. LBs that are learning as they go. Any OL guys are probably not seeing the field early. With that in mind, I think they can stay, and can get those type of players without going "all in" on a prospect in an earlier round.
