This guy has the chance to be a star player at Edge Rusher. Tremendous measurables; described as having Clowney/Donald type talent. Hard worker, coachable, but has had medical stuff so he had a down year last year and has played fewer games than he might have in college. No doubt is behind on technique but who better to teach it to him than Wade's staff. So if Snead wants to take a risk, this is a good guy to take a risk with at a position that could have major impact over the years. I'd highly applaud this move.
I'd love the pick, if he were still on the board. Not that this tells us a heck of a lot about actual draft-day results, especially by the Third Round, when the boards have already begun to fall apart a bit . . . but Brandt has him as the 69th best player and Mayock as the 91st -- last time I checked. So, who knows when he's drafted?
I also really like that he was a Five Star kid coming out of high school, considered by most scouting services to be
the best DE in the country . . . . and, that he'll be yet another one of those very young rooks, at 21.
Injuries, yes. But judging from his Combine and Pro Day performances, he's put that behind him. I'm all in on Josh Sweat at 87. All in. I just don't think he'll be there:
(10-yard split not listed. Was 1.55. Crazy good for someone his size. His measurables are off the charts.)

Btw, he said the Rams were among the teams expressing the most interest in him, at his Pro Day.
