They guy has been playing well above his salary for 4 years now. That's a lifetime in the NFL. No one should be expected to work that grossly underpaid for that long and be told he's not a team leader. You pay your team leaders their worth.
While its true we don't know what the Rams are offering or what Donald is asking, it seems likely that he wants to play for this team and doesn't want a contract that focuses on him getting out of LA. The Rams do not have a good track record evaluating which of their players to pay and how much. The messed up on Austin, Jenkins, TruJ, and Ogltree. They may have messed up on Watkins and Joyner.
We keep hearing that the Rams have the money budgeted to pay Donald, yet its the same story over and over. I am confident they will pay him but its quite possible that they are jerking him around to save money.
