I have gotten to the point where I watch very little college football and a good deal of NFL football. Recently did some college football film review and think I discovered the reason why I watch less college football now. Qb play. College quaterbacking is very limited and mostly quite bad. This makes the game rather dull strategically for me. Maybe just a passing thought but one I had and wanted to share.
Yeah, limited as in mostly spread offense. I miss the days of the triple option. To me, good option QB's equated to good QB play. Most of them didn't throw very well though.
As you know, what's lacking in the college game are good pro style offenses. The spread offenses just don't utilize precise routes and timing patterns. Most QB's just aren't being developed for the pro game.
