I respect that Reid's social/political actions are not a problem for you; but they are for millions of others and clearly a lot of NFL people as well.
Further, PFF recently wrote something to the effect that his play never again equaled the rep he gained 3 or 4 years ago in one exceptionally good year. Whereas Joyner was a top rated FS for 2017. Why would you want to swap Joyner for Eric Reid? Why would you want to downgrade the position as well as pick up a guy who, fairly or not, has an albatross hanging around his neck......mostly self imposed? A naive young man who has the courage of his convictions as long as it doesn't cost him in other ways. Well, life doesn't work that way for the rest of us who aren't pro ball players and it shouldn't for him as well.
