Have The Rams Taken Over The Football Scene?

I'm curious: for those living in LA/SoCal, have the Rams completely taken over the football scene for the time being? Living in Florida, and looking at the national football news, it's Rams, Rams, Rams and more Rams. If I didn't know the Chargers also lived in LA, now, I'd think they'd moved to Mars.

It is astonishing to me how the mystique of McVay, and the nearly unfathomable one season turnaround of the Rams from a perennial doormat into an 11 win division winner and the top offense in the League, happened so fast and has taken the NFL media world by storm. Complete domination, really.

Does it feel the same way out there?

Have the Rams taken over the "football scene" here in LA? I'd have to say YES...without a doubt. Although the playoff loss against Atlanta hurt, the 80,000+ that showed up to the Coliseum for that game definitely showed that the team had generated a lot of momentum. I think the home pre-season game against Oakland, though, has the potential to show if the Raiders still have some sway.

As for the "sports scene" here in LA...

The Rams still have a LOT of work to do in this area. Even with the blockbuster trades for Peters and Talib, the acquisition of Suh, and the approaching draft, sports talk radio for the past few weeks has been dominated by a non-playoff contending Lakers followed by the Dodgers who only just began their 7-month season two weeks ago. And were it not the case that two local college QB's figure to be selected in the top five of the draft, I fear that (without a day one pick) even the NFL draft wouldn't get covered.

And as for the Chargers...

Don't sleep on 'em. As you can tell by the link they already have a strong bond here in SoCal.
