Just returned from Marina Del Ray and did my 45 minute appt. with LASED....the Los Angeles Stadium and Entertainment District...AKA / new Ram Stadium... to discuss the SSL's
WOW...Very impressive presentation and the huge models of the stadium and surrounding Retail/Apartments/Restaurants looks really good.
But prices for the SSL's are not for the faint of heart.....basically there will be 5 levels of seats...not including suites.....the 100 and 200 section with the Club Seats on both sides with VIP parking and entrances ....Prices are as follows....per seat....
$ 15,000
$ 25,000
$ 80,000
$ 100,000
$ 80,000 and $ 100,000 are midfield to the 30 yd. line and called VIP....these seats include parking, all you can eat and booze....
$ 15,000 and 25,000 SSL's are in 100 and 200 section and are 30 yd line to the 5 yd line.
Face Value on all these seats will be $ 375 per ticket.....no matter how much your SSL was..... so it would cost you $ 1500 per game for 4 tickets !!
My current seats at the Colesium would be in the $ 25,000 range.....so the guy puts it up on the fancy monitor showing $ 100,000 for the SSL's and then $ 15,000 per season to buy my tickets....haahahahahaha!....I currently pay $ 6800...
The SSL's are payable over 10 years with 8.5 % interest.....after 50 years, 2068 , ( yes, that date was really on the screen ) you get re-paid all your SSL money plus the interest......
I told him thanks....but no thanks....too rich for my blood.....he said I was about # 2100 on the list and they have been having about 50% success at sales.....no hard sales pitch though....nice guy....I just told him I would be back when they release the cheaper seats.....
Ram fans walking out of there shaking their heads and heard a few tell them " You've priced out the Die Hards from good seats!"
