The fact that the safety market went weird this year, seems to me, can best be explained through non-football reasons.
In any event it is not possible to claim Joyner would NOT have gotten competing offers. Except for the 1-year abberation with the safety market, I assume he would have.
If YOU are right then safety money stays down next year. My bet? It doesn't stay down, and in fact it will be in the obvious range for the top safeties, a range Joyner fits.
