If they can't get him signed long term. I look at it like they have traded a 1st, 2nd and EJ Gaines for 2 receivers that won't be here next year. Cooks is a good player with great speed, but some are saying he's going to want 17 mil a year and the Rams wouldn't give Watkins 16.
I have a feeling they will extend BC Speed. Reports on NFLN are already saying as much. I wouldn't be surprised if he is extended before the season starts. McVay clearly wanted this guy MORE than Sammy and will make sure he stays if he's happy with what he sees from him.
