I found the coach's discussion very intriguing. He told a story of a coach (was it Schottenheimer?) who added a big talent to get the team over the hump, but the character issues interfered with the team's unity. He learned never to do that.
I think of that story and of McVay cheerfully saying "we're not afraid" to make the big move. I think he mentioned trades and so forth, but taking on a problem player has to be a big part of what McVay is not afraid of.
I really think this very young coach could make a big mistake over-estimating his ability to handle problem guys. I think that's a serious danger right now.
