That would be crazy. They have the cap room. There is no real reason that it won't work. The Rams are going all in for the SB and this signing would be pretty crazy. Here's to hoping it doesn't happen, but if it does that is bad news for the Hawks.

Rams are going all in and Suh definitely is a scary thought. He is still dominant. That D is scary. That O is scary. There are a lot of personalities on D that they have to work through but IF they can check the ego they are going to be dominant.

SUH underperforming was still the #5 interior Defensive lineman with a 91.0 per pff
Buckner was just behind him. So SUH may not be as dominant as he was previously, but he is still playing at an elite level.
Next to Aaron Donald, that will be a nightmare to see twice a year. Especially since I believe if given the chance, SUH will gladly take cheap shots and try to permanently injure Jimmy.

I don't know why everything thought he played like garbage
He was the dolphins only good lineman, was getting double and triple teamed and was still a beast. I don’t think he underperformed.

That is the biggeat reason he terrifies me in LA.
You have to double Donald. Yet leaving SUH with a 1 on 1 matchup, could be dangerous.

I see McKinnon getting a lot of targets, not a bad thing.

That they have 2 Elite corners on the outside. Can you imagine how fast that pressure up the middle will come? And the receivers are locked up so there is nowhere to go with the ball.

…can’t cover Goodwin, Garcon, Kittle, and McKinnon. It’s just simple math at that point. And let’s be ridiculous say they can. Someone has to cover Juscyzk.

So sure. Let’s say Peters and Talib neutralize Goodwin and Garcon. Okay.

We still have a number of weapons at our disposal.

Then get suspended for a few games. Then in an act of rage in his locker room, he punches the wall but instead knocms out Goff and gets released by the Ram. Bradford probably gets hurt after reading about it.

That line in LA has the chance of being an All time great line. With Donald drawing double teams, SUH is going to be a monster.
Fortunately I see McKinnon being the nest investment we have. He will be the hot route, and can be very elusive and is extremely fast.
Give Jimmy 2.5 seconds and we will still get 5 yards per play.
Our run game may be in trouble against that line, but it isn’t the end of the world.

"to an already talented team with a great coaching staff that knows how to work with them." that year the Eagles fired their defense coordinator and replaced him with their long time o-line coach. 2 years later he and Reid would finally get canned. so no, not the same situation at all. Suh took less money to play in LA and Talib shunned us as he wanted to play for Phillips instead.

This rams roster is already way better than that 8-8 eagles roster.
It was a "dream team" mainly because they signed Asomugha (prob spelled wrong) who didn’t pan out to be the big free agent signing everyone thought he would be. They had him in press coverage a lot. Not his game. But he has Kerry Washington so he wins big in my mind!
Vick is not Goff. Or at least at that point in his career.
I get that the plan is not to spend everything now and plan for later FAs next year and so on but damn it’s hard to sit back and watch your division,rams, build the team they are currently putting together.

it’s not as if they are in the same place we are. they are not some unproven team who had a short run to end the year. they were the better team and they got much better this off-season, on paper or not.

but we’ve already seen that Shanahan and Garoppolo can run a successful offense versus pressure.

Will it be hard to beat the Rams? Of course. Can the Niners do it? Don’t rule them out.

Niners literally started the season at 0-9 last year.

Because they have very little outside edge rushers. And their linebackers aren’t good. That said…I bet they get a good outside passrusher in the draft and they wreck people up front and got 14-2…but they aren’t going undefeated. We need great Oline play, great play calling to hurt their defense.

Yeah I agree but dang the corners they have and put him next to Donald and having Michael Brockers. I hope they don't figure it out lol. I thought they hurt themselves with losing guys in the front 7 but this would be a problem for all teams in my opinion.
