Sorry for the delay but it was quite a day yesterday.......We got SUH!.....So yeah, it was a big night for all of us.
I know you are waiting for the story, so here it goes.........It was a Friday night. A Friday night like any other Friday night....
Well, I have been involved with Flag Football for the last decade and I run the Matt Leinart Friday Night Flag Football League in South Orange County at JSerra Catholic HS. Since the very beginning, I always wear some type of Ram Shirt to show my loyalties and to always support my Rams. It also keeps me visible around the fields as "The Guy" in the Rams Shirt over there.
Needless to say, I have become very good friends with Matt Leinart's dad, Bob. He's a great guy and we always talk shop about the Rams, USC and the Dodgers. He also knows that I am always "on top" of my Rams and how much Rams Football means to me. Well, Bob sees me last Friday and we start talking sports. Then, out of the blue he looks at me and says, "The Rams are going to get SUH, they are finalizing the contract and are going to announce it."
Of course, I try to remind him that it's not a done deal yet, then he say's, "Well, this morning I had breakfast with Gary Klein who is the L.A. Times Rams beat writer and he said that the deal is done. Just working out the details. Suh will be a Ram."
That's when I knew I had a "Reliable Source." Good friends don't kid about stuff like that. Ram Football is not a joke, it a way of life. You see, I was not the only Ram fan who waited for my team to come home after 20 years. Other people have fond memories of the Rams running out of the Coliseum tunnel as well. Bob is one of those guys.
That's the story......That's my "Source"..........And the story has a happy ending......The Rams got SUH!!!!!!!!!!
