As I responded to RFIP on the day he posted Sam Darnold declares for NFL draft... 01/03/08

The Browns finally get their QB.. Take Darnold and be done with it. It will be good for the league to see Sam in the AFC

I know I'm not the first to praise him or the most familiar with all of his snaps but I thought it was as obvious as Goff/Wentz that he was going #1 or #2 in this draft the day he declared.



I just read all the responses again to that thread that has since been locked..

Funny how so many people used the he's not ready for the NFL rhetoric. A QB with his talent is always ready if they're handled correctly by competent coaches and have at least an average supporting cast

I didn't watch every snap of Darnold like I did with Wentz and Goff but the dude showed me some of the same intangibles and talent that made me smile when the Rams were going to get Goff or Wentz.
