I predict this will be "one" of the best running back drafts in history.
Its why anyone who would take Barkley #1 or #2 should be fired.
If you're picking in the top 5 you need a qb, a foundation type player. Rb's are not foundation players.
The last team in the NFL to win a SB with a rb who led the NFL in rushing was the Denver Broncos and Terrell Davis.
Running backs are important but they're not in as limited supply as qb's. You can get a top rb throughout the draft.
The OROY this past season was a rb selected in the 3rd rd.
Looking at this draft I see several studs:
I'm excluding Barkley since there is a consensus on him, but the fact Alyo bet me he would go #1 was a slam dunk! lol.
Derrius Guice, LSU - Good looking prospect
Ronald Jones II, USC - Combines shiftiness with some power after training with me last offseason
Nick Chubb, Georgia - If he comes all the way back look-out
Kerryon Johnson, Auburn - Needs to add some size but I like his running instincts
Rashaad Penny, San Diego State - Very underrated and hardly ever leaves yards on the table. Versatile
Royce Freeman, Oregon - 238lb hammer
Sony Michel, Georgia - This dude so far seems to be underrated, he might have a better career than Barkley
Get your running back later!!
Best,
Laram
