Free Agency isn't everything, but it IS something. A "tool in the box", and when opportunities present themselves, FA can fill holes with quality players (if rarely excellent players) without quite the crapshoot that is the draft.
If anything is overhyped in team-building, it's the DRAFT imo, followed by Trades, but not FA.
