Re: A different way of looking at team building?

All very true. Another way to look at it is what positions get paid the most? Obviously QB is the biggie. We're lucky, as The Seahawks were with Wilson's contract, that our young QB makes very little leaving more money for other positions. You mentioned Kupp emerging as a star WR playing for peanuts and Woods makes good money for great play. TG30 is our superstar and is still playing under a rookie deal. Our LT gets paid. Our LG gets paid, but the rest of the offense not so much. On D we have the best DT in the league playing for cheap but wants big bucks. We just got 2 All Pro CBS for good money while dropping out expensive CB. Joyner makes 10 mil but JJ was a rookie so our allotted cash for our safeties is good. We traded away Wuinn who was pulling in big bucks and rushers do break the bank. I think we'll draft his replacement and save a ton. Our overall cap plan looks solid but we have young stars who will want to be paid soon. We have a zillion draft picks and we'll stock the team with future replacements. It's all good.
