Typically the Rams target a guy or two especially in the 1st and 2nd rounds. Then they move around the draft board in order to try and get him.
I would not be at all surprised that if they have a player in mind in round 1 that they move up a bit to get him. Or as the draft proceeds down a bit if they feel good about where that player will fall. Or, if the guys they have targeted are taken, trading down back into the 2nd round and picking up an additional 2nd or 3rd.
What I'm saying, I guess, is that the only pattern we can see with Snead is that he is very active on draft day and moves his chips all over the table, And the Rams are awfully good at keeping quiet about who might be tops on their radar screen.
I also agree that they don't need to draft a lot of players; the idea is to replace a few current guys with a few better guys.
