They've gotten a lot faster, too.

My hope was that with Peters as CB1, shutting down half the field all by himself, that a good competent CB (Troy Hill) would make a good CB2.
When it was reported that maybe TruJ could be salvaged, I thought WOW: A great CB1 and an upper tier CB2.

But with Talib?
I can't see it any other way that we will be one of few teams that will be starting two CB1s. Two shut down CBs. I think Peters is better than Talib at this point in their careers; but only by a hair.

When you throw in the reliable, smart, ball hawk and hard hitter Joyner at FS, that is going to be a very formidable pass defense.
And with the depth we now have in Shields and Troy Hill? Man. Wade must be licking his chops.

Now we need the run stuffing NT and excellent run stopping ILB. This has the possibility of being a top 5 D this next year.

If the O can continue to develop, this is going to be one difficult team to beat.

I haven't followed their latest acquisitions closely, so I don't know if they've lost a step or two or three, but at least when they came out of college, they were pretty fast. Very athletic overall. Sam Shields was a 4.3 guy. Talib had a crazy good Combine. Peters was very athletic as well, but not as much as the other two.

The Rams got faster and more athletic at DB, though they may have lost some of that along the Front Seven -- Quinn and Tree.

Is it fair to say Rams will be starting TWO CB1's?
