All of this may be moot, of course. But I think the Rams misused Sammy last season. I see him as a receiver who can do everything Tavon did, plus actually catch passes with consistency. As in, they can run Sammy on all of those "gadget" plays too. He has better long-speed than Austin, is almost as quick, can break tackles, block, etc. etc.
I'd utilize him for all of it. Deep passes, jet sweeps, bubble screens, option plays from the backfield. And the Rams are deep enough at wideout to make sure he's relatively fresh, even with all of that additional work.
Woods, Kupp, Cooper, Reynolds . . . . and hopefully some hidden gems they pick up later in the draft or as UDFAs.
In short, if they cut TA, Sammy is basically worth two players. I'd pay him at least for one.
