Oh that was a great play by AO, AO is the man, he's so athletic...oh he's a jolly good fellow!
But a defender makes a great rake play on our receiver (depending upon how you feel about the receiver)...he should have caught that, that's a drop.
NO it was NOT a drop. Defensive players get paid to.
It was a great play by the defender who did two things right.
1. He upset the timing of the play by holding Watkins
2. The ball was placed where Sammy did not have to extend away from his body, allowing the defender to get the rake.
A good experienced qb sees the lack of separation and puts the ball where only the receiver can catch it.
