Re: Trade changes little at combine...

I have to disagree.

Before the trade I think there was at least a 75-90% chance we would draft a CB with that #1 pick.

I think the odds have gone down a significant amount we will do that .

Maybe 20 % less.

We can now go with another area like LB or OT to even out our talent and or depth at other positions. Even have ability to fast forward to backup plans for Quinn and Whitworth .
That would be a pretty good way to go .
A another corner could even be signed in F.A. or maybe we get lucky with one of our sixth rndrs.

Maybe Webster comes back ok .
I think we are definitely more open to look beyond CB now with our first rounder. .
That's a good feeling and good position to be in decision wise .
I would feel better about our D with a heavy hitting LB added or another edge rusher besides a NT upgrade.

The article suggests Billy Price might be a choice to lock down the center position for a few years and upgrade the OL.
He's an excellent player too.
Blythe did pretty well as did Sullivan but I'm not sure either are under contract now and both would be fairly pale to the talent of Price I believe .
Price would be fine but C at number 1 hasn't been done since Brostek .
I'm not so sure the impact is big enough at C to pull that trigger but I wouldn't cry if they go there.
