Choking a coach, volatility, emotional outbursts, overall immaturity.
The coach choking and rumors of several run ins with coaches is really my only concern. My question is, how well does he respond to authority?
Your only concerns?
So throwing an officials flag in the stands doesn't concern you?
Walking off the field then returning with no shoes on doesn't concern you?
Spitting in a teammates face doesn't concern you?
Openly defying the owner doesn't concern you?
Color ME surprised dz.
I didn't know about the spitting in a teammates face thing. That one concerns me. How you treat your coaches and teammates are of big concern to me.
The flag and shoe incidents I filed under emotional outbursts that he apologized for. I would love for him to be more emotionally mature but he is what he is. I don't see that type of issue as being one that significantly threatens the well-being of the team's health and culture. Stated another way, those types of things are ones that I believe a strong team culture can absorb.
Yes, the penalty flag in the game can affect that game's results but that is significantly outweighed by his talent IMO.
The defying the owner thing is not concerning to me at all for several reasons. That was a political thing that many players did. It will be a none issue in LA. Secondly, I'm confident he'll behave within the parameters of team guidelines in this area since he's now playing for a new contract.
I don't agree with any of that, so I will just say this.
There is no player that I know of that was directly instructed by its owner not to kneel that kneeled.Jerry Jones told his players not to kneel...nobody kneeled.
A players conduct that causes a team to lose a game is outweighed by a players talents!!
WOW!!
Very few owners outright commanded players to not kneel.
And yeah, his talents have won many a game.
Also, I wouldn't blame that loss on him alone. I've seen many people try to blame a Rams loss on one crucial play and you NEVER accept that rationale. No need to start now with Peters. Lol.
