King nails it: high risk, high reward

February 26, 2018 04:19AM
From the KC standpoint, apparently they were able to salvage something from the Peters wreckage. I, too, figure the Rams would HAVE to give up a 1st rounder for an elite level CB. But clearly, nobody seems to think so. And with Snead's "package of picks" comment, clearly the Rams didn't give up this year's 1st plus more. Therefore, King is right. Taking the 1st off the table, likely the Rams gave up their 3rd for him, plus maybe one of their 6ths, and then something else next year.

From the Rams standpoint, they may have hit the jackpot getting an elite level CB for mid and lower round picks. Risk? Yes. But it's not like Peters has been suspended for smoking crack, or for punching his girlfriend. He played. He stayed healthy. He performed at the highest level. The dude is immature and a bit of a headcase. So was JJ. MP is about to get a do-over in probably the best situation possible for him. Back in his home state; young hip HC, and Cool Hand Wade for his DC. And a winning team with a strong locker room.
