I've been arguing for years that the trade market is undervalued while draft picks are over-valued.
NFL GM's should be making trades much more often. Belichick does more than most teams which should tell you something. Snead seems to make trades more often than most too which I hope continues.
The point is, people almost always tend to overestimate what a vet will cost in draft picks. 1st and 2nd round compensation is really not all that common.
I'd be surprised if this cost more than a 3rd.
