Looking / googling for what "yards per competition" means exactly??? Is this a new analytic just for Goff?
The GREAT thing about statistics is you can find just about ANYTHING to present your case....and this is what I found....
First up is Goff's CAY or average Completed Air Yards defined as "CAY shows the average Air Yards a passer throws on completions" Second column at 6.4. Also looks like he's behind a few fellow gunslingers, wouldn't you say?
Exhibit A -
Next is the IAY or Intended Air Yards defined as "the average Air Yards a passer throws on all attempts". Third column at 8.5.
Exhibit B -
And of course we can look at air yards for receptions and YAC for RBs.....
Am I doing a good or great job of carrying on??? I can carry on with the best of 'em but just don't want to get carried away......
