I agree that the cupboard wasn't bare. It wasn't even close to bare.
I've long said that the talent they had was very good. That was the basis of my argument for firing Fisher and retaining Snead.
I just disagree with his taking credit for the talent when Snead played a huge part in that. How big of a part, who knows? But that wasn't all Fisher.
The coaching OTOH was all Fisher and 'he couldn't get it done.' The part that was solely his, he failed at. That's why I dislike the arrogance.
