You should be so happy that it turned for you the way it did with your daughter. I have had family members (extended family) commit the act (2). It's hard to see close up developing, a lot of the time it seems to be someone outside the family circle who picks up on the symptoms. Because suicide is such a situational ending it is hard to grasp at why someone would do it, or attempt it. It makes one feel like total sh*t that it's you, or something you may have caused.
All I can say is sometimes just little things can be done to help, saying hey, how's it going, say I love you when leaving, smile, simple stuff. It looks like things are improving for you and your daughter more importantly. God Bless and look forward in a positive manner.
