In an effort to get it right, they still don't get it right...or at least there is wild inconsistency in application.
Remember when replay started? We were told that unless the call was clearly in error, the call stood. Now...they spend an inordinate amount of time trying to figure out the outcome and applying the rules.
I say they look at the play from a couple of angles one time. If they have to look at it more than that...call stands. Plus, why does the ref need to go under the hood? Can't NY just look at it and reverse it if it's blatant?
