Has been all year that the problem with the offense is if the schemed play is covered which happens a lot vs good teams, the pass offense struggles. Until that changes you will continue to see games like yesterday.
Certainly with the Rams that was not the case at least not as much as it was for the rest of the league. That is a fact.
You can be disappointed hoping each pass attempt is perfect and the catch is made by an open wr and yet it will not happen LA and it does not in New England.
Is it even possible to be fair. To be happy and to be proud of the team, our coach and QB or will they always be goats because they don't walk on water?
You seem so down on the team because we are not better than every team in the league and we lost to defending Conference Champions. You have been forecasting failure and have been the harbinger of impending doom thru the last 6 games of the season and yet we exceeded your expectations probably going into the year so what gives?
I am willing to acknowledge that we were not the best team in the league but we were better than our 2016 team by a historical margin and that does not deny a need to get better. You of all did not expect Goff to master this offense in one off-season. You certainly do not believe that Goff would not have to be helped by scheme and team upgrades to become a top 5 QB statistically and win a division title did you? So what's your real beef as a fan?
I say we as fans have won this year. We have something we expect the team to build on. We have a young QB that shows the heart and commitment to become one of the best in the league. We have a HC that certainly used smoke and mirrors to achieve success. No shame in that. The smoke will clear next season for many of those players and some will be upgraded. Aren't you also excited by that or is it more important to only convince someone that this team is a wast of time to cheer for especially after losing in the wild card game?
I agree a lot went wrong and that clearly thru the seasons we experienced some challenges and dissapointments and tendencies but that could be said for most of the teams in the play-offs.I am not going to deny our successes or claim them to be flukes.
