First 3 players take up around 40 million dollars and the Rams need to resign some core players and upgrade elsewhere
1. Obviously they need a #1 corner, whether it is TruJo or someone else
2. Quinn....is he worth $12 million? Love to keep him, but they have a ton of their own players to resign. 6 sacks a season worth it?
3. Barron. Same thing. He makes $10-$11 million. Is the inside the best place for him? Can he stay healthy?
4. Watkins....what to do? I do agree he is good and takes the #1 corner, which opens things up, but he also is way to often a nonfactor and disappears
during big games. If he sign for reasonable price ok, or do they sign a legit tight end or look for someone else. Again, its about opportunity cost and resigning their core and upgrading.
Also, they need to resign: Sullivan, Joyner, Troy Hill and Robey-Coleman for sure. I think only Joyner is expensive there.
Cut Tavon Austin: For sure!
Need to upgrade linebackers, sign a big DT to play between Brockers and Donald,a 2nd corner is huge (via draft?) oline depth and upgrade TE.
I think DT and TE can be FAs that didn't pan out for their original team or older that can be had for cheap.
Positives: Great coach, quarterback and running back and best defensive player in the NFL. Lot of young quality players beyond that: Kupp, Woods, Saffold, Johnson, Brockers, etc.
